News from Quilter's JEM for the week of 9/18/19

1525 Central Ave NW / East Grand Forks MN 56721 / (218) 399-0159 / www.quiltersjem.com
Hello Friends!

Wasn't the Valley Shop Hop a lot of fun? Thank you so much to everyone who came and visited us! We have just a couple of our Sock-It-to-Me kits left, stop in soon if you didn't get one on the hop. These kits proved very popular, and when we re-kitted we had to change out some of the ombre colors - still just as striking and fun!

The next big event on our horizon is the North Star Quilters Guild's Quilting on the Red show, October 25-26. We'll be vending at the show, and on October 27 one of the show presenters, Pamela Goecke Dinndorf (Aardvark Quilts), will be teaching a class from her Parallel Lines book here at Quilter's JEM!

This is a great opportunity to learn from a national teacher and to get terrific advice and tips, specifically about using stripes. Stripes are attractive, dynamic, and open up lots of design possibilities, but sometimes we are timid about using them! This class will give you the confidence and knowledge to put these powerhouse design elements to good use! Lunch will be provided at the class - more details below in the class listings.

New in the shop are Garden Delights III jelly rolls and layer cakes from In the Beginning

and bolts from the Beauty in Bloom collection from Studio E.

Also new in the shop is the amazing Bernina 880 Plus!

The advantages and features of this top-of-the-line machine are numerous - from the embroidery capabilities to the fully automatic threading system,

the huge sewing and embroidery area to the speed, precision, and quiet machinery - and, OMG, can you say JUMBO BOBBIN?!,

from the enormous stitch library to the ability to create your own stitch! Come in and see it for yourself!

p.s. That jumbo bobbin has 70% more thread capacity than your average bobbin!
