News from Quilter's JEM for the week of 1/7/20
1525 Central Ave NW / East Grand Forks MN 56721 / (218) 399-0159 / www.quiltersjem.com
Hello Friends!
We have many great classes coming up, all the details are in the last section of the newsletter, and not just great classes but GREAT teachers, too!
I know it is winter, and cold, and sometimes cold and windy, but trust me when I tell you it is totally worth it to leave the house and spend a couple hours with these talented, knowledgeable, and friendly teachers!
New in the Shop:
Edyta Sitar's Pillow Talk book - full of fun and lovely pillows to make!
Lots and lots...and lots of flannel! From Henry Glass, Riley Blake, Robert Kaufman, and Oasis Fabrics, here is a sampling of our new flannels (and more are on the way!).
And lots of new kits, too!
A new class - Bazinga! - coming up in February (more details below):
Dreaming of an Italian vacation?
There are just a few more weeks left to sign up for your virtual monthly Italian vacation - I mean, the Aurifil Color Builders Club, of course! We are now taking online, or in-store registration for the Aurifil Color Builders Club. Registration will close January 31st and spots are filling fast! For online registration from the homepage, choose shop>block of the month>aurifil color builders club to register. The cost is $39.99 per month and includes 3-1300m spools of Aurifil 50wt thread, a mystery block of the month pattern, a free gift each month provided by Quilter's JEM, and an Italian dessert at each thread pickup party, (or if you are a snowbird, we will gladly ship the items to you and you can participate in dessert when you return).
So, please join us for the AURIFIL COLOR BUILDERS CLUB, a remarkable (and colorful) Italian adventure! From the lemon groves of Sicily to the pink sand beaches of Sardinia to the clear teal waters of Capri and the stark city grey of Milan...
Each collection is crafted to evoke images of Aurifil's beloved Italian landscape. The colors were selected not only for their aesthetic appeal, but for their practicality in every day use. We think you'll appreciate the Color Builder collections both for their beauty and for their utility. Read the stories, absorb the hues, pick your favorites, and sign up for our 2020 Thread Club today!
Exciting news! We have started a 10-month Mystery Block of the Month designed by Pat Sloan! And you still have time to join us!
The First Month's Block!
We have assembled six different kits for Out West 2020 BOM - check in at the shop or online to see them! Our kits are varied in that they are not necessarily "Western" style fabrics, although I think they will still make a beautiful project. We'll make one 12" block a month for a total of 9 blocks, plus setting instructions, for a quilt that finishes at 58" x 66". After making the first block, I am happy to report that Pat's instructions are well-written and easy to follow!
Bernina News! Clearance Sale January 10-21, 2020. Great Prices on Entry Level Machines!
Financing available! on BERNINA machines and accessories!
New Bernettes are here! The B77 and the B79+embroidery - come in and check them out!
