News from Quilter's JEM for the week of 1/28/20

1525 Central Ave NW / East Grand Forks MN 56721 / (218) 399-0159 / www.quiltersjem.com
Hello Friends!

Here we are in the last week of January, which means it's time to start thinking about Valentine's Day! There are many small sewing gifts which make perfect Valentines -- pillowcases, napkins, placemats, sleeves for hot cups, tablerunners, and I bet you can think of a few others! If you are planning some heartfelt sewing, come in and see us - we have lots of reds, pinks, and whites (and some very elegant grays, too!).

Want to tackle a bigger Valentine's Day project? Crush might be just the pattern you're looking for!

If you're looking for some fun new geometric patterns, we have some bolts of Lewis & Irene's Forme you should check out.

Fresh out of the Henry Glass box is Kim Diehl's newest line: Liberty Star!

Have you seen all the projects on Instagram being done to benefit Australia? Several feature the Koalas or Pretty Birds pattern from Elizabeth Hartman.

We have those in stock (who can resist that adorable koala?!), as well as her other newest patterns.

While these patterns have lots of pieces and can look intimidating, they are very clearly written and easy to follow.  There are lots of pictures, and you'll be amazed at how quickly they come together! Plus, she always gives you directions for multiple sizes.

If the all white landscape is getting a bit tiresome, consider this bright, bold farmyard panel quilt!!  We have kits available with three different borders choices.

We have two bolts of beautiful Art Gallery knit fabric.  The blue floral used in the sweet little dress below, and also plain black.  These knits work great as serger projects!

The Aurifil Color Builders Club's first meeting will be Thursday, January 30th at 6pm.

We're beginning a 10-month Mystery Block of the Month designed by Pat Sloan and there's still time for you to join us!

The First Month's Block!
We still have five different fabric bundles for you to choose from, so stop by the shop or go online to check them out!  There will be a pattern for one 12" block each month for a total of 9 blocks, plus setting instructions.  The quilt finishes at 58" x 66".  After making the first block, I can say that Pat's instructions are well-written and easy to follow!
