January is moving fast! Of course, time flies when you have so much great fabric to move out onto the floor!
This week we have 9 bolts (stripes, circles, and hashmarks) from Clothwork's new line Ruby Night - sure to be a favorite with red & black & white fans!
The Moody Bloom collection is lighting up the front of the shop, and I showed you the thumbnail set of the prints before, but you haven't seen the panels yet - one gorgeous floral panel, and one panel of beautiful quilt labels!
We also have a little nook devoted to Valentine-themed fabrics and projects.
Valentine's Day is one of those holidays that is perfect for something like a new pillow, a pillowcase, a set of placemats, or a tablerunner. Although, if you feel like it is a holiday that needs a queen-size quilt, we are not going to argue with you!
Two new rolls of 2.5" strips are in the shop, too. Aloha Batiks from Moda and Golden Aster from Riley Blake.
Kellie Willey with one of her minis! The North Star Quilters Guild (NSQG), our local guild for the greater Grand Forks/East Grand Forks area, is hosting Kellie Willey (www.littlequiltcreations.com) for an online lecture - "Little Quilts, No Big Deal!" on Saturday, January 16th at 1pm on Mini Quilts. She will be giving tips & tricks for making mini quilts & showing some of her very cute little creations - check out her website to see some of these. Miniature Quilts will be a category for the 2021 Quilts on the Red Quilt Show in November and is a favorite of our quilt show judge Cindy Erickson.
The NSQG is offering the lecture free of charge, but people do need to sign up so they can get you the lecture information- https://www.signupgenius.com/go/9040a4eaaae28a31-miniature. You can connect to the lecture using a computer or phone, a camera or microphone are not needed for this event. If you have not used Zoom - this is what our school kids have been using for classes - it's really pretty easy. You can call or email Charlene Crocker at email@example.com for help before the lecture.
NSQG has generously opened up the lecture to non-guild members - if you aren't a member and have been curious about the guild, this is a great introduction to a really dynamic group of quilters!
Stop in to see the new Air Threader Overlockers! Quite Amazing!
