My Favorite Color is Moda
The first month of My Favorite Color is Moda has been sent out, picked up, or waiting to be picked up! The colors are absolutely amazing! Below is a sample of Primrose Garden. This is the largest block in the quilt at 36" square!
A few notes on this first 36" block:
Squares for HST (half square triangles) are cut at 7"-this does not give you a lot of room for error. The Quick Quarter 2 ruler helps get that exact line, and if you sew on the inside of the two seamlines towards the center line the result is a very scant 1/4" seam.
Also using a ruler such as the Block Loc 6.5" square to square up your blocks makes quick work of the HST's.
To ensure a nice flat seam, use a product such as Best Press, or our new Acorn Precision Piecing Products Starter Kit! with a new wool pressing mat!
